About this deal

This is the sort of book I search for. These are the sort of vibes I could read forever and ever, this is my tribe. Romantic ghost stories, tragic, consuming, maddening dark romances are the reason I read every single day. I live for this style of writing, gothic romance is EVERYTHING to me and Gothikana (as it is in the name, delivered almost every possible aspect of a goth romance I could wish for). Not only that, but the dark academia aesthetic it was apparently striving for was nowhere to be seen beyond needing a reason for all these characters to be in one building.

and if i am? does that make you loathe me? will that keep your pussy dry” being things i also read with my bare eyes. Amidst the laughter at his expense, Zelda’s grip on his arm tightened. “Don’t forget, boy. It’s a matter of many deaths.” Now, to the review…if this is your first time reading something written by RuNyx you are for a treat and if this is not your first time you know you will love it. Ru has a especial way with word, they surround you, the description and atmosphere clear in your mind and you can see, feel and experience what these characters do, see or feel.Corvina had never heard of the University of Verenmore. But then again, she hadn’t heard of most normal things, not with her upbringing. However, nobody else had heard of it either. RuNyx immerses her readers in the dark worlds she builds and then injects life into them in the most hauntingly beautiful way. Her work is unique and addictive—she really is one of a kind.” ― Hannah Grace, New York Times bestselling author of Icebreaker Upon starting, her roommate Jade shows her the ropes off the place and soon the mystery and horror of the castle reach her ears as Corvina finds out that over the last century people have gone missing, most recently her roommate Jade's friend Alyssa who disappeared after hooking up with her professor, her body along with the others never to be found, happening on a special night of the universities ball. i loved the whole purple eyes, tarot cards, crystals, dark aesthetic. she was a breath of fresh air and i love that. her personality was really refreshing to read about. i love that she basically wrote the book too! An outcast all her life, Corvina Clemm is helpless after the loss of her mother. When she receives the acceptance letter from the mysterious University of Verenmore, she accepts it as a sign from the universe. However, the last thing that awaits them is an ancient and isolated castle on a mountain riddled with mystery, deceit and death.

To a castle where none go,” she said, her voice shaking, her face heavily wrinkled, the whites of her eyes staring eerily at Vad, “you will go, boy.”It’s just … I don’t know. I kind of felt a little bit like I was reading My Immortal? I mean the heroine has purple eyes and is called Corvina and is described like this: but she knew the books she read were fictional, and chances of her, of all people, finding anything remotely similar were slim. I LOVED the uncertainty that the voices in Corvina's head were real or part of a mental health condition. We still don't really know in the end, but since Corvina truly gives off witchy vibes, I like to believe she's connected to the paranormal. I also lean more toward this because of the old woman's prediction about Vad meeting the girl with purple eyes.
