Curious is a youthful fruity floral fragrance perfect for a young romantic woman. It has a moderate sillage, which means the people around you can smell it, but won’t feel overwhelmed. In general Britney Spears’ fragrances are aimed at young women, with a sweet playfulness to them. The Britney Spears range follows this tried and true formula and the perfumes have been produced by perfume industry veterans who have created some of the top designer and celebrity fragrances on the market. Another popular flanker from the Fantasy series is Circus Fantasy. It’s a fun, whirlwind of a scent created in cooperation with Elizabeth Arden. I was expecting something circus-like such as cotton candy and was pleasantly surprised that it’s a wearable sweet, fruity floral. It’s lighter and more of a day scent compared with Midnight Fantasy and is perfect for teens. If fragrances were judged by bottles alone, Believe would be my hands-down favorite. It’s a sharp, angular break from the pretty, girly bottles of most of her perfume line and similarly, the fragrance is less sweet and girly as well. Sometimes flankers meant as sideline variations on a fragrance, become more popular than the original scent. That’s exactly what’s happened with Midnight Fantasy, Britney Spears’ fourth fragrance release and one of the best-selling fragrances in her collection. Created in 2006 by Caroline Sabas, it’s definitely a sweet, fruit bomb of a scent.
Fantasy Britney Spears is a fragrance alive with enchantment and rich with the thrill of the chase. The story of fantasy Britney Spears unfolds with lush red lychee, golden quince and exotic kiwi. It continues with the scents of cupcakes, sexy white chocolate orchid and jasmine petals and draws to a close with the scents of creamy musk, arris root and sensual woods. The bottle is a round orb, in keeping with the rest of the Fantasy line, however this time dark blue with lighter blue Swarovski crystals for a little decorative edge. It’s a very fruity, sexy scent, and makes me think that it’s the perfect perfume for a romantic date night dancing in the tropics. I would say due to the sweetness, it skews younger and is more of a spring or summertime scent.
