About this deal

Children will discover the physics of levers, gears and propulsion while building machines that whirl, flip and race. It was a gift, so I have not seen it in use, but my impression was that I would like to sit down and try out the ideas. Being Lego, it lives up to its reputation, well made, the instructions are clear, and suitable for my grandsons age group. Deep in the Controlled Chaos Department of Klutz Labs, we asked a simple question: What could be more Klutzy than a machine that performs a simple task through an elaborate chain reaction? It also comes with a book that has easy-to-follow instructions and photos showing each step in the process of building different gadgets.

You supply the LEGO bricks from your collection; we supply an inspirational 78-page book with crystal-clear instructions and the extra parts you need to transform your bricks into 10 different wacky chain reaction machines, from a seesaw and ramp to a pop-up flag and falling hammer.

Regardless of my family’s love of Lego, I liked that the kit includes everything you need — even if you don’t have any other Lego bricks in your house.

From the practical to the intriguing, to the flat-out ridiculous, these projects encourage children to explore the possibilities hiddenin their LEGO collection. Immediately upon receiving the book, without any adult help, he read the instructions and made the first thing and played with it. The kit comes with 58 Lego pieces that can be used to build 11 different simple machines, from a claw that picks up small objects to a frog “robot” and a car with a spinning Lego fan that makes it go full speed ahead. Our team is made up of book lovers who are dedicated to sourcing and providing the best books for kids. Read more about the condition New: A new, unread, unused book in perfect condition with no missing or damaged pages. He enjoys making new creations with these pieces, but I thought a new way to use his extra Lego would come in handy. We work closely with publishers and authors to ensure that we offer the best books on the market for your child. It would be nice to have a small plastic box or something like a pencil bag included to hold all the special pieces and clearly identify them as part of the chain reaction building pieces.

My son loves linking things together, creating strings of events (like tying things to drawer pulls), so this is a great fit! With a handful of basic bricks from your LEGO collection, the only thing you’ll need is a little imagination. But don't worry that you won't have the right bricks; we worked with the folks at LEGO to make sure you'll need only the most common bricks, and that there are plenty of substitutes. Super-clear instructions, step-by-step diagrams and that famous Klutz sense of humor make it fun and easy for kids. This cancellation policy does not affect your rights when we are at fault – for example, if goods are faulty.
