Sure you could find more cushioning or responsiveness in a max stability trainer, but I doubt you will find one that is a more comfortable and smoother ride than the Brooks Glycerin GTS 19. Based on my experience with the Glycerin GTS it was the right move and I look forward to future versions. I wanted to run in them long after my review miles. Together with the Adrenaline, they would make an ideal running rotation. They provided one of the smoothest foot strike to toe offs transitions I have experienced. This lends itself perfectly to easy runs and longer distances.

Brooks draped the shoe in its 3D print mesh upper. The mesh provides different zones of stretch and structure, which gives the Glycerin a more dynamic fit. The mesh over the toe box has a bit of stretch to it, while the midfoot and heel are more static. Brooks engineered the Glycerin for the softest ride by using a bed of its DNA Loft cushioning. Ultimately, the Glycerin 19 is a good option for any long-distance runner seeking a cushioned and stable ride. Overall, it’s not much different from its predecessors and ranks comparably in comfort and ride. The 19 certainly gets the job done but isn’t a groundbreaking or fantastic trainer. The main disadvantage reported by testers is that this new Glycerin featured less rubber, which translates into more exposed foam and, unfortunately, signs of premature wear. Upon opening the box I was impressed with the design and colorway of the Glycerin GTS 19. The neon yellow logo along with the light blue/yellow of guide rails stood out from the navy blue of the rest of the upper.There is a simplified look to the upper which means fewer 3d printed overlays. Because of this there are no points of irritation for your feet. Running in the Glycerin 19 is like meandering through town with the top down on a beautiful summer day. It just brings a smile to your face. If you are looking for more of a Ferrari speeding down the German Autobahn, then the Glycerin 19 is not the shoe for you. Save these daily trainers for slow or recovery runs, and they will not let you down.
