I’ve enjoyed making Luna and friends from Books 1 and 2 and was thrilled and excited when Book 3 was announced. It was well worth the wait! The world of Luna lapin is a magical place and very addictive. There’s great online support via a Facebook group were you get to share your creations, get advice and make new friends. See description below for further details Anyway, the book starts out like a story book with a little story about Luna Lapin and her life, like an introduction. Then the rest of the book is about the different patterns. You get the pattern and detailed sewing instructions for making your own bunny from felt (although you could use any fabric) and her clothes, as well as a bag, shoes and hat. Fabulous book with wonderful animals and their clothes. Illustrations and stories are delightful. The instructions are easy to follow and suitable for novice and experienced stitcher alike. Strongly recommend this book As with all our kits, the instructions are thorough and include diagrams and photographs to demonstrate the sewing steps.

Handmade Animal Dolls by by Melissa Lowry – this looks to be a similar type of sewing book, but I haven’t looked at this one yet We can’t wait to introduce you properly to Ottoline, Hamish, Ziggy and our new friend. Luna has been stitching harder than ever, from her skating dress to a book-exclusive kilt for our favourite thespian Taurus.

Luna was designed to be passed down by generations as a special heirloom toy, and I think one well-done bunny would warm any kidz heart. But it’s okay to keep her for yourself too, right? That’s what I am doing. Or to gift her to someone who is a kid at heart in one way or the other…What an absolute delight this book is, I have all 4 books and made the majority of the characters, I love making them, I need to dress them all now! This book is written beautifully just as the other 3 are, it was eagerly awaited. Buy a Remake Kit if you already have the pattern and instructions but need the ingredients, and choose if you want stuffing or no stuffing (we don’t post stuffing overseas) Please credit us with the original design – this could be a label saying Design by Cool Crafting, Made by……. The book is fantastic and animals so cute and outfits and beautiful, cool crafting is brilliant, the service they give is second to none , I have met Sarah and husband a few times at the show and they so friendly and they can’t do enough for you . Buy a Make Me Kit if you need all the ingredients, pattern and instructions, and choose if you want stuffing or no stuffing (we don’t post stuffing overseas) I think it was easy to follow along in the description as mom and I created a bunny each. The how-to images are great help, the patterns in the correct size (whoot whoot!) so no need to find a copy-machine to enlarge anything, and the images are simply adorable. I think they’re my favorite part. Oh and the fact that mom sewed soo many bunnies (she kept one and gave the rest away to her friends) from this book and a whole wardrobe for her Luna Lapin. I will post more pictures of our process later.What a fab well written book. The stories set the tone perfectly and I would love to see what happens to Luna next. Guess I need to hurry along and make her and Alfie and write my own Chapter in the story. The patterns are easy to cut and follow. The fabric choice recommendation is on point and it is easy to personalize the looks. I also like the fact you get boots and shoes patterns. Even a novice sewer would be able to make something by following the instructions carefully. Definitely worth purchasing this book. I am itching to make everything. I bought the Flora lapin kit at the knitting and stitching show. Fabulous instructions, easy to understand and follow. Absolutely loved making this gorgeous rabbit and have bought more fabric to make others! Yet another triumph of a book from Coll Crafting. The easy to follow instructions and gorgeous animals are a delight to make. I can’t wait to get started on Hamish!

I have all the books and have made all the creatures. I have loved learning all the different dressmaking techniques from the books. I adore the variety of creatures and the gorgeous clothing. In fact, there is absolutely nothing negative about any of it. It has been a wonderful journey with Sarah Kenair Peel and her wonderful crew.
