Description

This book allows the reader to travel to Costa Rica, India, Morocco, Greece, Canada, Brazil, France, Botswana, China, Philippines, Australia, United States, and Jordan. I think it’s a good nonfiction book that takes a brief look at different countries around the world.

As the detailed illustrations provide helpful context, I would recommend this book be used in second to fourth grade classrooms. A Ticket Around the World is an informational story about a boy who travels to 13 different countries and visits a friend from each one.We piggyback on the young boy's imagination and take a trip around the world visiting countries such as Japan, Mexico, Kenya, Canada, and many more. How I would use this book: I would definitely do a cultural project on this book because it vastly describes so many different cultures that any person even the teacher or adult could learn something. In this book, you are traveling to 13 different countries with a young boy, learning a variety of special characteristics about that country. A Ticket Around the World will leave readers feeling like they’ve toured the globe without ever having left home.

This gives the reader a world tour via his first-person narration as he samples foods, views landmarks, and attends cultural events, among other activities. The artistic elements are extreme, this book has a lot of text so I would not recommend students to read on their own, however doing it as a class and integrating it with content and a lesson plan would be a fun filled week.International products have separate terms, are sold from abroad and may differ from local products, including fit, age ratings, and language of product, labeling or instructions. Join a young boy as he hops around the globe, visiting friends in 13 different countries spanning all 6 populated continents. I Enjoyed reading this book because I was able to learn new information about different countries and compare and contrast to my country with the similarities and differences. I think this picture book would be best utilized in 2nd grade and up to ensure that the bulkiness of the information is both informative but also attainable to the students that you read this book too.
